Kang's story begins with a chance meeting with his classmate Kim Se-yun. While Mun-oh doubts Kang's motives, a sudden accident reveals a shocking truth.

Mun-oh's obsession with the unfolding story grows as accusations swirl around Se-yun's dad. Kang's continued research leads him to tailing someone.

Suspicion grows as Kang continues his observations. Mun-oh hesitates to stop him from writing. Later, a letter draws Kang to a late-night rendezvous.

When Kang's story ends on a cliffhanger, Mun-oh anxiously awaits what he'll write next. Se-yun's mom makes a desperate choice to protect her family.

Mun-oh becomes fixated on Kang's writing, while Kang keeps crossing the line for the sake of his craft — pushing both toward a point of no return.
